ChatGPT Disruption: Should We Pivot Our No-Code YouTube Channel for Maximum Impact
AI is really changing the way I do business. But more important, it’s changing the way how I think about business in general.
Today, I want to share some thoughts about the future of our YouTube channel No-Code Germany. Our channel is dedicated to long-tail content and tutorials for Bubble, and we've been fortunate enough to build a niche community around this unique platform. With over 100 videos under our belt, it's time to consider our next strategic steps.
As we think about the future, we've been exploring three main options, and I wanted to share these thoughts with you publicly to hold ourselves accountable and to illustrate how our thinking is evolving in light of the recent AI wave. Sometimes, good ideas just need time to mature.
Keep Going at the current pace: We could continue creating Bubble.io tutorials and long-tail content while maintaining our niche focus and evergreen content strategy. In this scenario, we would keep nurturing our community and monthly viewership, focusing on the strengths of Bubble.io's visual interface over chat interfaces. We would assume that an autonomous bot for Bubble remains an unlikely competitor in the near future, and we would continue enjoying the connections, friendships, and knowledge gained through this project.
Prep and sell the business: Another option is to optimize and package our content library for a potential buyer, such as a coding bootcamp looking to expand their offerings. We could enhance our content quality to increase market value and streamline operations to make the business more attractive. This would involve preparing for a sale within the next 180 days and leveraging our niche expertise to facilitate a smooth transition to the new owner.
Use AI to expand quickly and invest: We could collaborate with video production studios for better production quality and leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and OpenAI Copilot to create more engaging content. This idea was inspired by a tweet from David Pal.
In addition, we could explore paid subscription options, masterclasses, and other premium offerings while extending our content to cover other coding platforms beyond Bubble.io. This would allow us to teach anyone how to build full-scale apps across various platforms and expand into different formats, including podcasts, live streams, and more. ), and we are grateful for his input.
While we haven't made a final decision yet, I want to share our thought process with you. Here's a more detailed breakdown of what the third option could look like:
Content Improvement: By investing in higher-quality video production and partnering with professional studios, we could create more polished and engaging tutorials, as well as explore new formats such as podcasts and live streams.
AI Integration: Integrating AI tools like ChatGPT and OpenAI Copilot into our content creation process could result in more dynamic and interactive tutorials, ensuring that our content remains at the cutting edge of no-code and coding education.
Platform Expansion: Broadening our scope to include other coding platforms would enable us to reach a wider audience and empower more people to build amazing apps.
Premium Offerings: Launching paid subscriptions, masterclasses, and other premium content would provide even more value to our community, granting them exclusive access to in-depth courses, expert advice, and more.
Community Growth: As we expand our content and offerings, focusing on growing our community would be essential. A larger, more diverse audience could foster greater collaboration, learning, and innovation.
No-Code and AI are close to our hearts, and while the education sector may not be the most lucrative, it brings us immense joy, a strong network, and a sense of meaning. We believe that investing in No-Code Germany's growth, should we choose to do so, would create a brighter future for our community.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you, whatever path we ultimately choose. Expect more engaging content, better production
